BELGIUM DEAF DEVILS AT THE EC IN CRETE (Greece)

 

Our Deaf Devils participate in the European Championship in Greece, in a pool with Spain, Italy and the host country.

 

Greece. The first game took place on Monday, against favorite Italy. We started the game strong, with a lot of intensity and high pressing. This resulted in a number of opportunities, without results. Italy did hit after a free kick. In the second half, the equalizer was in the air, but Italy made 2-0 after a quick counter-punch. Sven Verstraete made it 2-1 in the absolute end. Wednesday we came into action a second time.

 

We won 5-3 against Spain!

 

The Deaf Devils are second in their group. Greece will be the last opponent in the group stage on Friday.

The Greeks took all legal and sometimes illegal means to play the Deaf Devils in the loss.

Deaf Devils was therefore very disappointed when the game ended with a 4-2 loss and the elimination.
